Here I have a fascinating infographic from the talented people at Visual Capitalist which shows the highest cities in the World which are defined as urban centres with a population of over 1 million. La Paz in Bolivia is the highest city in the World at 3869 metres above sea level followed by Quito in Ecuador at 2784 metres and Toluca in Mexico at 2648 metres and the piece compares their altitudes to well-known references.
